APPLICATION: Involves Stage’s Security functionality allows you to increase the level of security of the system's users’ passwords. By default, the passwords must contain at least 6 characters, when you enable this resource, the system will check if the password is strong enough before you can register it.

Seeking new solutions to increase the security and encryption of the passwords stored in our system, Involves Stage offers you the Password Security resource. When active, this resource will allow you to create and edit more complex passwords for new or existing users.
By default the system requires a password of at least 6 characters. However, when this resource is enabled, the system will test password strength before letting you create it. This resource increases the odds of creating complex passwords, further preventing third-party interference.
The functionality is only available for the System Administrator access profile. However, when enabled it will affect all environments on Involves Stage. Previously submitted passwords won’t be changed.
You can access this resource on Menu > Advanced > Security
To change the security level select the option Increase Security Level.
On the next pop-up window, check the box Activate the Increased Security Level , and then click on Confirm:
Done! If you wish to undo this action just click the button below the padlock.
ENTERING AND EDITING YOUR EMPLOYEES
When this resource is enabled, it will directly affect entering and editing new employees. Editing the password field will require a new password according to the new security level.
The password field of the manually adding employees window will be affected by the same security changes. Not soon after submitting a new password, the system will notify you whether it is safe or not. Keep in mind that our Generate Random Password option is always available, and it is also a good alternative for the users’ safety and privacy.
Good passwords are the ones impossible to figure out. Use unusual words or inside jokes, UppERCasE or LOwercaSE letters randomly, creative spehlinng as well as numbers and symbols.
Importing your employees will also affected. The column password on the import template initially accepts any password, but if the system identifies the password as weak, it will notify you on the Error Report.
When importing your list of employees, it’s highly recommended you leave the field password blank. That way the system will be able to generate and send a password directly to your employee’s email, assuring the safety for the entire operation.
ACTIVATE DEFAULT SECURITY LEVEL
If you wish to return your system to its default security level, select this resource (steps above) and click on Have you changed your mind? Click here to reverse this action. On the next window, check the box Return to the default system security, and then click on Confirm. That’s it! The resource has been disabled.
