There are two ways to find the new Product Assortment template. The first one is by clicking on Import the Strategy. You can also click on the More Options icon on the bottom left corner of the screen and select Import. Both paths will guide you to the following page:
When downloading the template, you will notice that it contains 3 groups of information. As follows:
- Assortment ID (Assortment Name)
- POS Segmentation (Regional, Macroregional, Banner, Chain, POS Profile, POS channel and POS Type)
- Product Range (Product, Product Line, Brand e Category)
Do you remember the example we presented on this post? let's take a look!
In this example, for Assortment 1 tasks would be generated for all POSs on the New York regional and the Café & Latte chain. Each task would present the products Biscuits 10 oz and Sandwich Cookies 6.5 oz. Right? For Assortment 2, on the other hand, tasks would be generated for all POSs in Albany and in the Café & Latte chain with Sweet biscuit 10 oz and Cookie 15 oz.
ASSORTMENT ID
In the strategy we used as an example, the ID shown must be unique. You should repeat it for every line of the spreadsheet containing products. That’s why it presents two functions: saving the link between the POS segmentation and the product assortment and the name of the task that will be created (composed by the Task Schedule Name + Assortment Name) Check our example once again:

Here, the ID repeats to each product available at New York regional and Café & Latte chain.
POS SEGMENTATION
This refers to the POS features that should receive a task. It's very similar to the selection of recipients by conditions. Although, it’s important to note that you can only add one POS feature to each field, but it’s possible to fill several fields with features.
PRODUCT SET
Finally, here you should add information about the products. The columns will vary according to the objective of the form chosen during scheduling. Just like that. For forms of the SKU type you should inform SKU data. Keep in mind that it’s also possible to define several and different assortments for a single segmentation. This will support you when dividing the tasks among your field team and help you access them by product category, for example.
AND NOW... HOW CAN I IMPORT?
As soon as you finish the template, you should upload it by clicking on the Select option. Thereby you will receive your import results. If everything is done right, the system will return a successful import information. If any error was found, you’ll be notified by the system to download the error notification file so you can fix the issues found and reimport your file.
TIP: Be extra careful when filling the template out because any mistake, be it a typo or a non-registered chain will stop the registration of your strategy. If the system finds any error, the assortment on the related line will be automatically invalidated. So, please review all the information before submitting them. Better safe than sorry, right? |
I WANT TO DELETE A STRATEGY, HOW CAN I DO THAT?
You can delete the whole strategy or a single assortment. To delete the whole strategy click on Delete Strategy on the bottom right corner of the screen.
A popup warning message will be displayed with an option to confirm deletion. But be aware: deleting the strategy and leaving the Task Scheduling page won’t create any more tasks, but it would still be active.
To delete a single assortment, click on inside the table:
WHAT IF I WANT TO EXPORT MY STRATEGY?
With our new assortment it’s possible to export a whole strategy or a single assortment. To export a strategy, select Export Strategy on the More Options menu on the bottom left corner of the screen.
